Kara?īyam-attha-kusalena yanta? santa? pada? abhisamecca, This is to be done by one skilled in aims Who wants to break through to the state of peace:
Sakko ujū ca suhujū ca suvaco cassa mudu anatimānī, Be capable, upright, & straightforward, Easy to instruct, gentle, & not conceited,
Santussako ca subharo ca appakicco ca sallahuka-vutti, Content & easy to support, with few duties, living lightly,
Santindriyo ca nipako ca appagabbho kulesu ananugiddho. With peaceful faculties, masterful, modest, & no greed for supporters.
Na ca khudda? samācare ki?ci yena vi??ū pare upavadeyyu?. Do not do the slightest thing that the wise would later censure.
Sukhino vā khemino hontu sabbe sattā bhavantu sukhitattā. Think: Happy & secure, may all beings be happy at heart.
Ye keci pā?a-bhūtatthi tasā vā thāvarā vā anavasesā, Whatever beings there may be, weak or strong, without exception,
Dīghā vā ye mahantā vā majjhimā rassakā a?uka-thūlā, Long, large, middling, short, subtle, blatant,
Di??hā vā ye ca adi??hā ye ca dūre vasanti avidūre, Seen or unseen, near or far,
Bhūtā vā sambhavesī vā sabbe sattā bhavantu sukhitattā. Born or seeking birth: May all beings be happy at heart.
Na paro para? nikubbetha nātima??etha katthaci na? ki?ci, Let no one deceive another or despise anyone anywhere,
Byārosanā pa?īgha-sa??ā nā??am-a??assa dukkham-iccheyya. Or through anger or resistance wish for another to suffer.
Mātā yathā niya? putta? āyusā eka-puttam-anurakkhe, As a mother would risk her life to protect her child, her only child,
Evam-pi sabba-bhūtesu māna-sambhāvaye aparimā?a?. Even so should one cultivate a limitless heart with regard to all beings.
Metta?ca sabba-lokasmi? māna-sambhāvaye aparimā?a?, With good will for the entire cosmos, cultivate a limitless heart: Uddha? adho ca tiriya?ca asambādha? avera? asapatta?. Above, below, & all around, unobstructed, without enmity or hate.
Ti??ha?'cara? nisinno vā sayāno vā yāvatassa vigatam-iddho, Whether standing, walking, sitting, or lying down, as long as one is alert,
Eta? sati? adhi??heyya brahmam-eta? vihāra? idham-āhu. One should be resolved on this mindfulness. This is called a sublime abiding here & now.
Di??hi?ca anupagamma sīlavā dassanena sampanno, Not taken with views, but virtuous & consummate in vision,
Kāmesu vineyya gedha?, Na hi jātu gabbha-seyya? punaretīti. Having subdued desire for sensual pleasures, One never again will lie in the womb.
欲獲得寂靜涅槃的善行者,應(yīng)如是修學(xué):堪能,、誠(chéng)懇及正直,,謙恭,、柔和與不慢。知足易供養(yǎng),,少世俗務(wù),,生活儉樸,諸根寂靜,,謹(jǐn)慎,、謙虛,不攀求于俗家,。不應(yīng)作任何違逆事,,免遭其他智者所譴責(zé)。 (應(yīng)如是念言:)愿一切眾生皆幸福,、安穩(wěn),、快樂(lè)!若有生命者,,若強(qiáng)若弱,,若長(zhǎng)若斷,若大若小,,若粗若細(xì),,盡一切無(wú)余?;蚩梢?jiàn)或不可見(jiàn),,或遠(yuǎn)或近,或已生或未生,,愿一切眾生都快樂(lè),! 不欺騙他人,或于一切處藐視任何人,,不應(yīng)出于憤怒及仇恨而詛咒,,希望他人痛苦。對(duì)一切眾生應(yīng)該修習(xí)無(wú)限慈愛(ài)心,,猶如慈母用生命保護(hù)自己唯一的兒子,。 讓無(wú)限的慈心遍照十方世界,上,、下,、左、右,,不受阻繞,,不懷仇恨,不抱歉意,。無(wú)論站著,、走著,、坐著、躺著,,若不昏昧,,應(yīng)確立此念。能如是住者,,即云“梵住”,。不陷于邪見(jiàn),具有戒德,,具有智見(jiàn),,及斷諸貪欲,當(dāng)決不再入母胎,。 |
