近日，“散裝衛(wèi)生巾”這一話題沖上微博熱搜,，引發(fā)大量討論,，目前閱讀量已超過(guò)12億。

爭(zhēng)議的開端是一位網(wǎng)友發(fā)布的兩張圖片,。一張是網(wǎng)上一款100片售價(jià)僅21.99元的衛(wèi)生巾（相當(dāng)于每片約0.2元）,；另一張則是一位網(wǎng)友針對(duì)這款衛(wèi)生巾的提問(wèn)，擔(dān)心廉價(jià)衛(wèi)生巾質(zhì)量不過(guò)關(guān),，而兩位買家對(duì)此的回答是,，“生活難”、“我有難處”,。

The hashtag of 'loose-packed sanitary pads' has come up as one of the trending topics on Chinese social media this week, sparking a heated discussion, with more than 1.2 billion views on Weibo.

The sudden rise of public awareness about period poverty sprang from a Weibo post of two screenshots. One is about a 100-piece packet of loose-packed pads that costs only 21.99 yuan (3.20 U.S. dollars), while another features a netizen worrying about the quality of the cheap pads, to which a woman replied, 'Life is tough.'

對(duì)于“散裝衛(wèi)生巾”的討論,，也將當(dāng)今世界普遍忽視的“月經(jīng)貧困”問(wèn)題拋到了大眾眼前。

“月經(jīng)貧困”常指受落后觀念和經(jīng)濟(jì)因素制約,，部分女性無(wú)法在生理期獲得足夠的衛(wèi)生用品,，從而體面地度過(guò)生理期。

據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì),，女性一生中至少有2500天處于經(jīng)期,，相當(dāng)于人生中將近7年的時(shí)間。BBC曾推出過(guò)一款“月經(jīng)開銷計(jì)算器”,，假設(shè)一位女性經(jīng)期從12歲到55歲,，那么她一生中需要花費(fèi)1603.41英鎊（約合人民幣14693元）購(gòu)買衛(wèi)生用品。

事實(shí)上,，無(wú)論是非洲,、南亞還是歐美，在世界各地,，每個(gè)月都有許多女孩為沒有足夠的衛(wèi)生用品而煩惱,，被迫用其他東西代替。國(guó)際婦產(chǎn)科聯(lián)盟（FIGO）統(tǒng)計(jì)的數(shù)據(jù)顯示,，截至2019年2月,，全球有5億名女性正在遭受“月經(jīng)貧困”。

聯(lián)合國(guó)兒童基金會(huì)和國(guó)際慈善組織“水援助組織”2018年發(fā)布的一份新報(bào)告顯示,，南亞地區(qū)超過(guò)三分之一的女孩在經(jīng)期缺課,，主要原因是學(xué)校里沒有廁所和衛(wèi)生巾，以及沒有接受關(guān)于月經(jīng)的適當(dāng)教育,。

印度僅36%的女性有條件使用一次性衛(wèi)生巾,，其余64%只能在經(jīng)期使用破布、果殼,、灰燼,、樹葉、泥土或是牛糞來(lái)處理自己的失血,。

而在非洲的一些國(guó)家,，女孩們被迫選擇通過(guò)性交易來(lái)?yè)Q取衛(wèi)生巾,，從而得到正常上學(xué)和工作的機(jī)會(huì)。

即便在歐美發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家,，仍有部分女性面臨“衛(wèi)生巾困境”,。

根據(jù)美國(guó)的一項(xiàng)調(diào)查，近五分之一的美國(guó)女孩要么提前輟學(xué),，要么就是因?yàn)闊o(wú)法負(fù)擔(dān)起經(jīng)期用品而被迫曠課或輟學(xué),。

英國(guó)慈善協(xié)會(huì)的一項(xiàng)調(diào)查顯示，截至2018年,，在英國(guó)14歲至21歲的女生中,，有幾乎一半曾因?yàn)榻?jīng)期缺課，每十人中就有一人買不起經(jīng)期用品,。

在荷蘭,，年齡在12歲到25歲之間的女孩和年輕女性中，有9%的人買不起衛(wèi)生棉條或衛(wèi)生巾,。

Period poverty is a global issue, which defines a lack of access to sanitary products due to financial constraints. According to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics, up to 500 million women and girls are living in period poverty.

A report published by UNICEF and WaterAid found that more than a third of girls in South Asia miss school during their periods, mainly due to lack of access to toilets and pads in schools and no proper education about menstruation.

Take India, for example, where Survey statistics collected by Indian National Family Health Survey 2015-2016 estimates that roughly 36 percent of the country's menstruating females use sanitary napkins, while the rest use old rags, husk, ash, leaves, mud and soil and such other life-threatening materials to manage their flow.

While even in developed countries in Europe and America, some girls and women face the same dilemma about being forced to miss school when they have their periods.

今年6月,，四川成都七中國(guó)際部的一群高中生發(fā)起了“月季計(jì)劃”，籌集的12萬(wàn)余元能為700名大涼山昭覺縣女生提供一整年的衛(wèi)生巾,。下一步,，他們還將為當(dāng)?shù)氐那啻浩谂M織經(jīng)期衛(wèi)生方面的講座。

In June, students from the Stand TogetHer organization of a high school in southwest China's Chengdu City have launched a program to donate menstrual pads to teenage girls in Zhaojue County, one of the poorest areas in China. They raised around 17,500 U.S. dollars online in just two days, providing a whole year's worth of pads for 700 girls.
