RESPONSIBILITIES Background / Responsibilities: Burberry, the global luxury brand, has a stated strategy of driving productivity online, and extending existing digital prowess into e-commerce leadership. Digital remains a clear point of differentiation for Burberry with a focus being on driving penetration of e-commerce, particularly in Asia, with further investment in localisation of sites in the region and innovative work with third parties. To support this ambition, Burberry are looking for a Digital Project Manager, Asia Third Party to manage projects across our digital platforms, including WeChat and Tmall. The projects will give the ideal candidate great exposure across the business and will provide opportunities to develop knowledge of the digital and luxury sectors in these dynamic markets.
The ideal candidate: Will be a key member of the Digital team and will manage projects from inception through to deliveryWorking closely with the broader digital delivery team, will be responsible for the delivery of new features and capabilities across existing third-party platforms, including scoping, development and testing, as well as the launch of new initiatives with select partnersWill be a pro-active character capable of driving the project forwards in a positive way - with a hunger for inspiring change and operational improvementWill have a knowledge of Agile and an understanding of Jira, potentially also MS OfficeDay to day the role will involve: Requirements gathering with relevant Burberry teams, including product, creative, marketing, merchandising, fulfilment, operations and retail teams Management of the development process with third party teams Creation of process proposals including project plans and timelines Project prioritisation with the Product Owner Running of all meetings with the delivery teams Management, escalation and mitigation of delivery risk, and stakeholder management With the .com team, helping to plan and conduct user research and usability tests Ongoing review of opportunities for future digital partnerships across the markets Manage regular / monthly updates of third party stores Creating great work that meets business objectives
PERSONAL PROFILE Qualification/Experience: At least 5 - 7 years industry experience working across platforms, preferably with experience of Tmall and WeChatExperience in managing the delivery of complex projects, working across multiple functional areas such as order management and fulfilment, product information integration, financial reporting systems, as well as dealing with administrative activity such as legal documentationExperience in evaluation, negotiation and selection of vendors including contracts and service level agreements, and cost validation according to the scopeExperience working with offshore teams and agencies, whether technical development or creative agencyAbility to build and iterate on processes, leading continuous improvement and adoption across the team, the expert on process implementationAbility to manage junior project manager(s)An understanding of Agile Project Management approaches and how they are appliedExperience working on creative-led projects with an appreciation of design and understanding of the creative process, possibly in the luxury spaceExperience working in large multi-national companies, with multiple functional team teams and stakeholdersWorking proficiency in EnglishFamiliarity and appreciation of the strengths and weaknesses of a range of technologiesBehaviours: Energetic, passionate and persistent Committed to supporting a fast-developing business Pro-active Sifts information and selects what is significant Excellent attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills Takes responsibility for own decisions Clarifies understanding by asking questions and probing carefully Represent our core values of Protect, Explore and Inspire
