When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world.

　　As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country. But it, too, seemed immovable.

　　可當(dāng)我成熟以后,，我發(fā)現(xiàn)我不能改變這個(gè)世界,。于是,，我將目光縮短一些,，那就只改變我的國(guó)家吧,。

　　As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.

　　可當(dāng)我到了暮年的時(shí)候,，我發(fā)現(xiàn)我根本沒(méi)有能力改變我的國(guó)家,。于是，我的最后愿望僅僅是改變我的家庭,，可是這也不可能的,。

　　And now, as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family.

　　當(dāng)我躺在床上，行將就木的時(shí)候,，我突然意識(shí)到,，如果當(dāng)初我僅僅是從改變自己開(kāi)始，也許我就能改變我的家庭,。

　　From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country, and who knows, I may have even changed the world.

　　在家人的幫助和鼓勵(lì)下,，也許我就能為我的國(guó)家做一點(diǎn)事情；然后誰(shuí)知道呢,，說(shuō)不定我能改變這個(gè)世界,。
