Get in the cart!” “你要帶我去哪里？” “Where are you taking me?” “我要把你帶去羅馬” “You’re going to Rome.” “去干嘛呢,？” “Why?” “去角斗,?！?/span> “To fight.” 羅馬人來人往,，熙熙攘攘。 The city Rome was crowded and noisy. 馬車在一個(gè)大大的,，圓形建筑前停了,。 The cart stopped in front of a big, round building. “下車。這里是角斗場,。你就要在這里角斗,。” “Get off here. It’s the arena. This is where you’re going to fight.” 士兵帶著馬可走進(jìn)角斗場,，路過了一個(gè)籠子,，里面關(guān)著幾頭獅子。 The soldier led Marco inside, past a cage of lions. (獅子叫) “嚇?biāo)牢伊?。它,。。,。它們在這里做什么呀,？” “Yikes…Wh…Wh…Why are they here?” “來和你們角斗啊,。奴隸和獅子角斗，整個(gè)羅馬城都要來看,，包括國王,。” “They are here to fight you. Slaves fight lions, in front of the whole city, and the Emperor. 如果你贏了,，你就會(huì)獲得自由,。 If you win, you’ll be set free.” “贏？我怎么可能贏呢,？我會(huì)被獅子撕得粉粹,。” “Win? How could I possibly win! I’ll be torn to pieces.” 那天晚上,，馬可一點(diǎn)兒都睡不著,。 Marco didn’t get much sleep that night. 第二天，馬可被推出了一扇門,，來到了角斗場的中間,。 The next morning, Marco was taken pushed through the door. He found himself in the middle of the arena. 成千上萬的人看著他。他們大聲歡呼,。 Thousands of people watched him. They gave a huge cheer. “祝你好運(yùn),，馬可?！?/span> “Good luck, Marco.” “快讓獅子出場,！” “Bring on the lion!” 墻上的一道大門開了，一頭巨大的獅子走了出來,。 A gate opened in a side wall, and an enormous lion charged out. 馬可閉上眼睛,，渾身發(fā)抖。 Marco closed his eye, trebling. “老天啊,，讓這一切趕緊結(jié)束吧” “Please, let it be over quickly…” 但是,，馬可感覺到有什么東西舔了舔他的手。 But Marco felt a lick on his hand. 他睜開眼睛看見了,。 He opened his eyes and saw … “盧奇亞斯,！你怎么在這里？” “Lucius! Why are you here?” “我去找你的時(shí)候被抓了,。他們把我?guī)У竭@里來角斗,。” “I went looking for you and was caught.
