當你老了,，頭白了,，睡意昏沉,，
爐火旁打盹,，請取下這部詩歌,，
慢慢讀，回想你過去眼神的柔和,，
回想它們昔日濃重的陰影,。

多少人愛你青春歡暢的時辰，
愛慕你的美麗,，假意或真心,，
只有一個人愛你那朝圣者的靈魂，
愛你衰老了的臉上痛苦的皺紋,；

垂下頭來,，在紅光閃耀的爐子旁，
凄然地輕輕訴說那愛情的消逝,，

在一群星星中間隱藏著臉龐,。

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

葉芝簡介

葉芝 William Buter Yeats （1865-1939），愛爾蘭詩人,，早年曾參加愛爾蘭獨立運動,，后來脫離政治運動，專心致力于文學寫作,。

葉芝的詩風受布萊克影響較深,，后與法國詩派接觸，使他的詩又帶上了唯美主義和象征主義色彩,。葉芝在1923年獲得諾貝爾文學獎,，是一位對現(xiàn)代詩歌具有重大影響的詩人。

葉芝在1889年遇見女演員Maud Gonne, 并愛上了她,。葉芝曾多次向Maud Gonne求婚,，均遭Maud Gonne拒絕，但葉芝終生愛慕著她,，為她寫下了許多詩,，《當你老了》就是其中一首。（摘自網(wǎng)絡）
