Do Not Throw Good Things Away

不要把好東西扔掉

A man was going to the house of some rich (富有的) person.

一個男人正朝著一些富人的房子走去。

As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road.

當(dāng)他沿著路走時,，他發(fā)現(xiàn)一箱好蘋果在路的一邊,。

He said, “I do not want to eat those apples, for the rich man will give me more food. He will give me very nice food to eat.”

他說：“我不想吃那些蘋果，因為富人會給我更多的食物,。他會給我很好吃的東西,。”

Then he took the apples and threw (扔) them away into the dust (塵土).

然后他拿起蘋果把它們?nèi)拥搅送晾铩?/p>

He went on and came to a river (河).

他繼續(xù)走,，來到河邊,。

The river had risen, so he could not cross it.

河水漲了，因此他過不去,。

He waited for some time.

他等了一會兒,。

Then he said, “I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot cross the river.”

然后他說：“今天我去不了富人家了,，因為我不能渡過這條河?！?/p>

He began to go home.

他開始回家,。

He didn't eat no food that day.

他那天沒有吃任何東西。

So he began to find food.

所以他開始尋找食物,。

He came to the apples, and he was glad (高興的) to take them out of the dust and eat them.

他找到蘋果,，他很高興地把它們從塵土中翻出來吃。

Do not throw good things away, you may be glad to have them at some other time.

不要把好東西扔掉,，在某些時候你可能會很高興擁有它們,。
