專業(yè)課程概述

我們的商業(yè)分析碩士課程是一個為期一年的全日制課程，由6門核心課程和2門選修課程（從7門選修課中選）組成,。

核心課程通過講課,，小班討論課和上機實習課進行。最后,，學生還將與我們的全球合作伙伴一起開展一項商業(yè)分析項目作為他們的畢業(yè)論文,。

本項目的畢業(yè)生將在真實的商業(yè)環(huán)境中獲得包括商業(yè)運營、數(shù)據(jù)庫,、統(tǒng)計,、信息學、數(shù)據(jù)分析,、機器學習和大數(shù)據(jù)技術等領域的必要技能和知識,。

入學條件

• 本專業(yè)適用于：本科專業(yè)不含大量商業(yè)分析相關課程的申請者，但須至少修過一門以高等數(shù)學或統(tǒng)計學為主的課程,。

• 入學要求：2:1榮譽學位或同等學歷

• 英語要求：雅思均分6.5,，寫作不低于6.0

• 研究生申請表（包括英文自薦信）

• 大學期間完整的學術成績單中英文原件（需要學校教務處蓋章）

• 學位、學歷證書復印件（在海外高校取得學位者還需提供中國教育部出具的國外學位學歷認證書）

• 兩份由老師簽名并封口的英文推薦信（必須有一封來自于您正在就讀/最近畢業(yè)的學術機構教員）

• 英語語言能力測試成績單（如雅思,、PTE）

• 四張護照尺寸照片

• 身份證正反面復印件

• 部分專業(yè)要求遞交其它材料,，具體詳見學校網(wǎng)站

處理時間：通常為3-5周

2018年秋季入學申請截止日期：2018年6月30日。

其中,，英語語言能力測試成績單（雅思或PTE）,、應屆本科畢業(yè)生的學士學位證書和畢業(yè)證書復印件可晚于6月30日但須在7月15日前遞交。遲于截止日期的申請將視錄取人數(shù)情況而決定,。

What is business analytics?

• Business Analytics is the intersection of management science and machine learning in real world applications.

• It offers new potential to improve financial performance, strategic management and operational efficiency.

• Business Analytics is an increasingly critical component in preparing organizations to solve 21st-century business challenges and support data driven decision making.

Programme Overview

Our MSc Business Analytics programme is a one-year, full-time programme consisting of 6 core modules, and 2 elective modules from a choice of 7 elective modules.

The core modules are conducted via lectures, tutorials, and computer laboratory sessions. Students undertake the dissertation project in Business Analytics in collaboration with one of our international industrial partners.

Graduates of the programme will have gained the necessary skills and knowledge in a range of fields, including business operation, database, statistics, informatics, data analytics, machine learning and big data technologies in real-world business contexts.

Teaching and Learning

Our learning environment is highly interactive and innovative with student-centred learning activities.

Other than examinations, our students will be assessed via essays writing, practical exercises, group and individual projects, and oral presentations.

The dissertation focuses on developing students’ skills in applying analytic techniques, communicating and solving the data analytics problem.

Entry Requirements

• Suitable for: at least 10 credits equivalent value with significant mathematical/statistical content. However, this course is not suitable for students who have previously studied a significant amount of business analytics.

• Admission requirements: 2:1 honours degree or equivalent

• English requirements: IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in writing

• a recommendation letter on headed paper, signed and/or stamped

• academic trans and degree certificates (results so far, or completed)

• English language test score report if already received (IELTS/PTE Academic)

• personal statement

• a photocopy of the main pages from your passport

• four passport-sized photos

Please note that applications can be made pending final results or during your final year of school/university education. Conditional offers will be made where appropriate and final results should normally be provided to us by 15 July, 2018.

English language test score report and/or degree/diploma certificates should be received by the Admissions Centre before 15 July, 2018. An extended deadline may be possible upon request.

What if my results are released after 15 July, 2018?

The University will make exceptions for students studying qualifications where results are officially released after 15 July.
