農(nóng)歷十月二十日,，恭迎文殊菩薩出家日,。文殊菩薩,，音譯：文殊師利,，或曼殊師利。意譯：妙德，或妙吉祥。文殊菩薩智慧,、辯才第一，為眾菩薩之首,，被稱為“大智文殊菩薩”,。

The twentieth day of the tenth month in the Chinese lunar calendar marks the Renunciation Day of Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva. Ma?ju?rī, its transliteration being Wenshu Shili or Manshu Shili, is interpreted as Wonderful Virtue or Wonderful Auspiciousness. With his supreme wisdom and eloquence, Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva is regarded as the leader of all bodhisattvas, so he is also called 'Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva of Supreme Wisdom.'

文殊菩薩也是諸佛的老師，引導(dǎo)無(wú)數(shù)的修行者證得佛果,。在《佛說(shuō)放缽經(jīng)》中,，佛陀說(shuō)：“今我得以成佛，是文殊師利的恩德,！過(guò)去無(wú)數(shù)諸佛,，都是文殊師利弟子，未來(lái)當(dāng)成佛者,，也都是其威神恩力所致,。就好像世間的小孩有父母一樣，文殊菩薩是一切眾生在佛道中的父母,?！?/span>

Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva is also the teacher of all Buddhas, guiding countless practitioners to attain Buddhahood. In the Foshuo fangbo jing (the Scripture on Throwing Down the Almsbowl), the Buddha said, 'If today I am a Buddha, all this is thanks to the merit of Ma?ju?rī! In the past, countless buddhas were all disciples of Ma?ju?rī, and the buddhas of the future equally will be led by his majesty and benevolence. Just as all the children of the world have a father and mother, so in the religion of the Buddha, Ma?ju?rī is the father and mother of all living beings.'

文殊菩薩過(guò)去久遠(yuǎn)劫已成佛，為輔助佛陀教化眾生而慈悲示現(xiàn)人間,?！段氖鈳熇隳鶚劷?jīng)》中記載：文殊菩薩是舍衛(wèi)國(guó)多羅聚落梵德婆羅門之子。從母親的右脅出生,，身體紫金色,，剛生下來(lái)就能夠說(shuō)話，在佛陀座下出家學(xué)道,，住首楞嚴(yán)三昧,，行饒益眾生之事。

Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva attained Buddhahood many ancient kalpas ago, and he has shown compassionate manifestations in the Sahā world as an auxiliary to help the Buddha teach sentient beings. As recorded in the Ma?ju?rī Parinirvā?a Sūtra, Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva was born in ?rāvastī, in the village of Uttara, in the household of the Brahman Brahma-Virtue. When he was born, he emerged from his mother’s right side, and his body was the color of purple gold. When he descended to the earth he could speak. Under the Buddha he left the household and learned the way, and he dwells in the ?ūra?gamasamādhi, extensively benefitting all sentient beings.

逢此吉祥的節(jié)日,，祈愿文殊菩薩光明遍照,，盡除一切無(wú)明黑暗。愿蒙文殊菩薩的深恩,，發(fā)起無(wú)我的智慧和普及一切的大悲心,，發(fā)正等覺(jué)之心，踐行菩薩之真意,。

On this auspicious day, we pray that the light of Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva will shine all over the places, eliminating the endless darkness of ignorance. May the mercy of Ma?ju?rī Bodhisattva help us aspire for the wisdom of non-self and compassion that benefits all, develop the aspiration for perfect enlightenment, and practice the true meaning of the bodhisattva path.
