我認為無論對于中國人還是外國人,，學習英語的最佳方法就是誦讀。這個方法不但可以治療啞巴英語、瞎子英語、文盲英語,，也可以用來應試,。不但可以小成,，而且可以大成（許多大家都是誦讀高手）,。再加上移動互聯(lián)網(wǎng)時代,，資源豐富，工具方便,，這個方法不但可以學習速度更快，而且可以效果更佳,。

許多網(wǎng)友對文章中所述的學習方法感興趣,，還有網(wǎng)友感興趣我所背誦的文章。此后的日子里，我爭取把此前曾經(jīng)誦讀過的英語文章陸續(xù)分享出來,，供大家參考,。

今天這篇英文的名字是《態(tài)度決定高度》，作者尼克·胡哲（Nick Vujicic）,。對于很多朋友來說,，胡哲并不陌生。他于1982年12月4日出生于澳大利亞墨爾本,，澳大利亞演講家,。2003年，胡哲大學畢業(yè),。2005年出版DVD《生命更大的目標》,。同年被提名為“澳大利亞年度青年”。2008-2009年間胡哲兩次來到中國各所高校舉行演講,。2010年出版自傳《人生不設限》,。近年來他的許多演講受到大家的歡迎，尤其多次到訪中國,，為許多朋友所熟知,。

在我看來，胡哲的《態(tài)度決定高度》這篇只有不到3分鐘的演講是最精彩的,。不但概括他的人生與思想的精華,，同時，語言優(yōu)美,、氣勢恢宏,，一氣呵成。讀起來鏗鏘有力,，圖文配合,，作為學習英語的材料，不枯燥,。視頻的后面,，我把文章編輯為兩個版本，對于感興趣的朋友,，可以方便的打印出來,，作為誦讀法學習英語的材料。文章翻譯的很幼稚,，便于小孩子都可以學習,，事實上，這樣的文章確實三四年級的孩子都可以背的很熟,，而且理解的深刻犀利,，我見過。

Life is an interesting journey of ups and downs.

生命是一次奇妙的旅程,，有高低起伏,。

But how the journey ends, is up to you today.

但這旅程如何結束，取決于今天的你,。

You see, when you fall down, you feel like giving up.

你看,，當你跌倒，你感覺想要放棄,。

When times get tough, it is not the end.

當處于困境,，那并不是終點。

The question is, “Are you going to finish strong?”

問題是,，“你是否會變得堅強,？”

The definition of a disability is something that will hinder you from being able to do something.

殘障的定義是，阻礙你能夠去做某件事的事情,。

I think, though, the greatest disability is not having no arms and no legs.

我想,，最大的殘障并不是沒有手臂、沒有腿,。

The greatest disability is your mind, the choices that you make.

最大的殘障是你的思想,，是你做出的選擇。

The question is, “Are you going to make the right choice?”

問題是,，“你將做出正確的選擇嗎,？”

“Are you going to make the choice, to have your life in it’s right perspective?”

“你是否會做出這樣的選擇，以正確的眼光對待你的生命,？”

“Are you going to make the choice, to get up instead of give up?”

“你是否會做出這樣的選擇,，崛起而非放棄？”

“Are you going to make the choice, to dream big?”

“你是否會做出這樣的選擇,，夢想遠大,？”

There is no greater disability that we have in our life than to make the decision to give up.

人生最大的殘障莫過于做出放棄的決定。

Because once you give up, then there is no hope.

因為,，一旦你放棄,，便再沒有希望。

But until you give up, there is that hope.

但只,，直到你放棄之前,，那仍然有希望。

My passion is to encourage.

我的熱情是激勵他人,。

My passion is to encourage people and to inspire people to be all that they can be.

我的熱情是激勵和啟發(fā)人們?nèi)崿F(xiàn)他們所能夠達到的,。

I have found my purpose.

我已經(jīng)找到了我的目標。

I have found my strength.

我已經(jīng)找到了我的力量,。

And I want you to find yours.

那么,，我希望你也能找到你的（目標和力量）,。

Don’t be afraid of failing.

不要害怕失敗,。

Every time you fall down, every time you fail, you learn something new.

每次你倒下,，每次你失敗，你學到了新的東西,。

You are ready for the next one.

你已經(jīng)準備好了下一次（學習）,。

You’ve learned how not to do something.

你已經(jīng)學會了如何不去做某些事情。

（你已學會如何不再重蹈覆轍,。）

Well then, learn from it and move on.

那么,，從中學習，然后繼續(xù)前行,。

Leave what’s behind and press forward.

忘記背后,，努力前行。

You can only win, if you don’t give up.

你只會成功,，只要你不放棄,。

Go for it.

為了成功前行。

Don’t let anything hold you back.

不要讓任何事情止住你的腳步,。

If nothing is holding me back, what’s holding you back?

如果沒有什么令我止步，還有什么會令你止步呢,？

Vision to Dream big.

作遠大的夢想,。

No goal is too big.

沒有太大的目標。

No dream is too far fetched.

沒有遙不可及的夢想,。

It’s as big as you can dream it.

你的夢想有多大,，它就有多大。

Perspective and purpose

角度與目標

There are times in life, when you don’t see the purpose or the good in your situation.

生活中有時候,，你看不到目標或者你處境中的優(yōu)勢,。

But just because you can’t see it, it doesn’t mean it’s not coming.

但僅僅是因為你看不見，它并不意味著它不會出現(xiàn),。

Who goes to the train station, looking down the railway, and say “The train is not here, I’m leaving.”

有誰去火車站,，看著鐵路，然后說,，“這里沒有火車,，我要走了”。

You will wait for the train! Why?

（相反）你講等待火車,！為什么,？

Because the schedule says the train is coming.

因為日程表上說火車將要到來。

So just you can’t see the hope in your situation, it doesn’t mean that it’s not there.

所以你看不到你處境中的希望,，并不意味著它（希望）不再那里,。

You see, many people think that I have only foot, just because you can’t see the other one.

正如許多人認為我只有一只腳,，僅僅是因為你沒有看到另外一只而已。

I’ve gone from a life without limbs into a life without limits.

我從生命中走來,，沒有四肢,，卻進入無限的生命。

If nothing is holding me back, what’s holding you back?
