We learned grammar through reading and writing: 我們沒有獨立的語法課,。我們學(xué)語法就是通過閱讀和寫 We learned parts of speech, but we didn't learn all the technical linguistic theories: 我們會學(xué)詞性，但是不會學(xué)特別技術(shù)性的語言學(xué)理論 The stand-alone approach to teaching grammar doesn't work: 把語法單獨分出來教效果是很差的 The stand-alone approach always starts with grammar rules: 這種語法分隔的教學(xué)法總會先教學(xué)生規(guī)則 But after learning abstract rules, you're confused as hell: 但是學(xué)完這些抽象的規(guī)則,，大多數(shù)人已經(jīng)暈了 Or too scared: 或者被嚇跑了 不要從語法切入 要從高頻場景,、高頻語言入手 Learning English as a second English is different from first language acquisition, but there're still common rules:當(dāng)然二語學(xué)習(xí)跟母語是不一樣的，但是還是有一些共同點 That is do not start learning English from learning grammar rules: 就是不要以語法為切入點學(xué)英語 You need to start with high frequency situations and high frequency language: 要從高頻場景和高頻語言切入 Expose yourself to natural English input and resources: 多接觸自然的英語輸入,、英語資源 You can learn the grammar pattern afterwards to help you apply in more general contexts: 然后再總結(jié)語法規(guī)則,，以便以后更廣泛應(yīng)用 But never start the other way around：但是千萬不要倒過來、先學(xué)語法,，再去溝通 學(xué)語法,，要挑選 多接觸常用語法 我們常收到用戶語法類的問題，比如：
可是,，你有沒有想過，你平時會不會用倒裝句,？ Why am I even using inverted sentences? This grammar point is very formal: 這個語法點只用在非常正式的情況下 就像'Never have I heard it before',，'Nowhere can I find my lost watch'這些句子,。 大家想想，這其實都是特別日常的生活場景,，完全沒有必要用倒裝句,。 你用了，反而顯得非常奇怪,！ You don't need to use inverted sentences in common everyday situations: 日?？谡Z很少用倒裝句 Instead of saying 'Nowhere can I find my lost watch', you can just say “I can't find my watch anywhere”: 根本不需要說'Nowhere can I find my lost watch'，說““I can't find my watch anywhere” If you use the inverted structure, you will sound really awkward: 如果你用了倒裝句,，聽起來會非常別扭 So never learn grammar from rules, from principles, from the book. Always start with real-life situations: 所以大家學(xué)語法一定不要先去找語法書,、先去背一大堆規(guī)則。而是要從實際生活出發(fā),。 擁抱真實的生活 真實的語言 This is not what language is supposed to be. It's not first finding the structure and then saying something. 語言不應(yīng)該是這個樣子的,，不是先找到結(jié)構(gòu)再去表達.
