在該項目中,，景觀設(shè)計師借鑒中國傳統(tǒng)園林中借景的手法,，強調(diào)人與自然共生共融，通過植物與空間的分割,，既保證了兩戶住宅的隱私性,，同時也讓雙方有比較通暢的視線。中間共享的庭院消除兩院之間的邊界線,，又使兩個空間相互延伸,，增加視線和空間的層次，最終在一個相互依存的景觀里形成豐富的空間深度感,。

The landscape is abstracted from the design ethos of Chinese Gardens in generating borrowed landscapes with a need for visual relief and privacy. The intent was to erase the boundary line between the two houses so that spatially, sight lines expand and spaces are layered repeatedly, culminating in a complex sense of spatial depth. This takes place in both axis from the front to back of the house and between the two inward looking houses. One gets the presence of the other, yet both houses remain independent in a mutually dependent space.

在探索庭院體量變化過程中,，我們和建筑師FARM緊密的合作，把建筑和景觀結(jié)合為一體,，讓景觀作為建筑空間過渡的媒介,。從建筑伸出的墻體將室外的空間定義為戶外書房和鏡面水池。而同樣的設(shè)計概念我們也運用到二樓之上,，通過一片薄薄的景觀橋,，把主人房和草坪的空間聯(lián)系起來。

通過在當(dāng)?shù)孛缙跃奶暨x并栽培的植物,，讓兩棟住宅仿佛置身于森林之中,，和鄰居的分界，則通過濃密大葉的植物完成。往入口方向的植物逐漸變疏,，將其素雅的立面展露出來,，以委婉含蓄的方式表達(dá)豐富細(xì)膩的情感，給人以回味無窮的想象空間,。

During the design process in exploring the volumetric shifts in the house, we worked closely with FARM to extend one of the volumes out into the central median landscape. Walls slide out to form the outdoor room, providing the outdoor study patio and reflecting pool. These elements continue to slide dynamically on the second floor to extend the spaces in the master suite out towards the lawn with a razor thin bridge over the sky pool.

The softscape, meticulously pre-selected and pre-grown in a local nursery, is designed to tuck both houses perceptively into a forest and to borrow the thick foliage from its neighbour. This thus extends the space outdoors seamlessly to the rear while gradually thinning out in the front to reveal its austere facade.
