 There was a hugely successful movie made 20 years ago. It’s one of the best sellers in movie history. It’s Jurassic Park, directed by Steven Spielberg. Yes, Spielberg is amazingly creative and has a special sense for filming a movie. His name is a guarantee box office smash. Jaws, ET, Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan are all his works. And now, he return with 3D dinosaurs. 

Jurassic Park was first released in 1993, and made $915 million worldwide. With the rise of inflation over the years, that’s $1,700 million today. Jurassic Park 2 and 3 were released in 1997 and 2001. Both films had lots of fans, too.

Jurassic Park gave free rein to everyone’s imagination. The scientists, who were hired by the millionaire Hammond, used gene technology to bring back the dinosaurs that died out 65 million years earlier. They built a park for the giant creatures on an island which was far away from human society. Hammond believed Jurassic Park could help him earn a big fortune. But bringing something back from the dead goes against nature, and would only end in disaster. In an accident, the safety system was broken and the dinosaurs began attacking the humans on the island. The scientists had to fight to escape. The film technology of 20 years ago can still make you awe, even today.

Since the The Lion King 3D released, many classic Hollywood movies followed suit. Kathleen Kennedy, the producer of the film talked about the 3D Jurassic Park. She said that all the classic movies should be transformed to 3D version’s of themselves. But she believed that if they could put enough effort and respect into the new versions, they could be a successful example of transformation. The Jurassic Park 3D will be released in America in April 2013. Just imagine sitting in a cinema with all the dinosaurs running passed or flying over you; how amazing it would be. New technology brings a new life to classic works.
